Summer Music Boot Camp Overview

Schedule:
- Dates: July 1st to July 31st, 2024
- Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Time: 2-hour session followed by a 1-hour lunch
- Total Sessions: 14 sessions
- Cost: $50 per week
Camp Objectives:
- Positive Youth Development: Our camp emphasizes personal growth, self-confidence, and teamwork. We aim to foster a supportive and encouraging environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
- Artistic Outcomes: By the end of the camp, students will have tangible projects to showcase, including music tracks, dance routines, video projects, and podcasts.

- Music Production:
- Introduction to music production software and tools
- Basics of beat making, sound design, and mixing
- Collaborative projects to create original music tracks
- Video Production:
- Fundamentals of video shooting and editing
- Storyboarding and scripting
- Hands-on projects to produce short films or music videos
- Dance:
- Basic to intermediate dance techniques
- Choreography and performance skills
- Group dance projects and routines
- Artist Development:
- Building stage presence and performance confidence
- Vocal training and songwriting
- Understanding the music industry and self-promotion
- Podcasting:
- Introduction to podcasting equipment and software
- Content creation and episode planning
- Recording and editing podcasts
Student Development:
- Skill Building: Students will develop technical skills in music and video production, dance, and podcasting, enabling them to express their creativity and share their stories.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Working in groups, students will learn the value of collaboration, communication, and supporting each other’s creative processes.
- Confidence and Self-Esteem: Through performance and presentation opportunities, students will build self-confidence and learn to present themselves effectively.
Showcase Event:
- At the end of the camp, we will host a showcase event where students can present their projects to family, friends, and the community.
- Each student will have the opportunity to perform, present their music or video projects, and share their podcasts.
- The showcase will celebrate the hard work and creativity of our students, providing them with a sense of accomplishment and pride in their achievements.
